Variables

A Variable is a pre-computed data point about a customer (e.g. Num returns per email in last 1 year, Return Rate by value by Email, Customer Value Per Email) that workflow conditions reference. Pinch ships ~90 standard variables out of the box and uses them in the workflows your customer success manager configures during onboarding.

Variables are an advanced way to define any data point that a workflow needs. Most merchants never need to author their own — the standard library is enough, and your Pinch team configures everything during onboarding.
